The Union includes above all employees and former employees of state – owned enterprises and businesses active in the sphere of postal, telecommunications, newspapers and multimedia services. Thanks to good relations with the social partners, the Union managed, within the framework of collective bargaining, to create and implement a system of long-term collective agreements. The Company Agreements continuously regulate not only labour and social issues but also the complex remuneration systems ensuring an increase in wages and improvements in working and social conditions of employees (e. g. shorter working hours, one more week of holidays). We managed to negotiate and introduce some positive elements in the company social policy, namely a gradual enlargement of employers‘ participation the employees‘ pension supplementary insurance, a compensation following the loss of work as a result of reorganisation etc.
The Union’s priorities include among other things collective bargaining, labour safety, education, recruiting of young employees, social dialogue and international co-operation.
